Many of our clients have gone to extensive measures to include the finest hand made items on their yachts. Our role as commissioned finishers is to unify the aesthetic of the yacht, by in many cases colour matching our finishes on furniture items to the flooring, panelling or doors.

Our finishing process is always carried out with the upmost of care. During the course of the project we tape off the entire area and if necessary, erect a tent to house the finishing process to avoid contamination to other completed areas of the yacht.

What wax finishes do we offer?

Our assortment of coloured waxes can all be applied to your flooring, lending a burst of colour to an otherwise worn and dull surface. This result is so pleasing both visually and financially, as the look of your flooring changes completely with only a fraction of the cost compared to replacement.

We specialise in bringing out the best with sympathetic restorations to Victorian pine, Georgian oak or other antique natural material doors that need tender care. Traditional finishing techniques are usually used in this case, to restore an original, unmodernised finish and enhance the natural beauty of the wood.

Antique, distressed or high-polish finishes are some of our popular finishing techniques.

Worn, beaten-up surfaces such as antique floorboards are stripped back, prepared and polished to a desired effect. We have years of experiencing handling floors with care, attention and expertise. All of this can be done while still retaining an ‘original’ finish by using our colour matching service.

Heavy footfall over the years can cause extreme wear, especially to natural wood staircases. Our strip sand and polish service restores the original finish of the staircase. In cases where clients require carpet removal we can meet this need too. The same process is involved with slightly more work, but the results are exceptional when our customers see the transition from carpet to natural wood.

Our knowledge of treating staircases right comes from years of dedicated partnership with architects, interior designers and developers, finishing the project every time with excellent customer satisfaction and accurate results.

Do we only finish the staircase itself?

Some finishers will steer clear of banisters, spindles and newels. However, our work encompasses the staircase as a whole complete structure – carrying out repair or replacement of spindles, replace or re-coat handrails and strip back any part of the staircase as necessary.

Silver and Gold gilding services are offered for the restoration of antique items. Alternatively, if you have modern pieces which need that unique touch we can re-finish an item to including bespoke gilding.
